Community Meditation with Lauri Kriva: 

  • Thursdays from 5:30-6:15
  • Offered by donation based on what you can afford (typically in the range of $10-$25/class). All proceeds go to Clay Studio.
  • Drop ins welcome.

Unwind with a community meditation gathering held outdoors in the courtyard of Clay Studio. Our gathering will feature either a gentle guided or silent meditation each week led by our experienced meditation teacher. Folding chairs are available, or bring your own yoga mat, blanket, and/or meditation cushion. All levels of experience are welcome!

Healing Hatha Yoga with Karalea Richards:

  • Mondays from 5:30-6:45pm
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9-10:15am
  • Yoga costs $10; please register in advance

In this class, yoga asana postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. The slower pace allows focus on breathing techniques and movement control. Healing Hatha Yoga is a beautiful and intentional moving meditation. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Complete relaxation and mind/body balance are the destination, as we open to the healing nature of Hatha Yoga. Class recommended for all levels; beginners very welcome!

Please bring your own yoga mat, blanket, and/or meditation cushion. Folding chairs are available.

Meet Your Instructors

Lauri Kriva

Lauri Kriva is a certified meditation and mindfulness teacher through the McLean Meditation Institute and a certified Dr. Sears Health Coach. Through curiosity, deep listening and holding compassionate space, Lauri leads her students through mindfulness and meditation practices that help them access their innate wisdom.  She was first introduced to meditation at the age of 8. It has transformed her life by bringing a sense of calm and acceptance about others and the world, awakening self-compassion, and connecting her to a wellspring of inner wisdom. Lauri believes the most powerful thing you can do to heal the world is to heal yourself.  Lauri is also the owner of Swellheart Mindfulness and Meditation, a company that co-creates experiences with both individuals and groups. Karalea Richards

Karalea Richards is a Certified Yoga Teacher and the owner/founder of 3SunYoga, a local Santa Barbara Yoga Retreat Company. Karalea started practicing yoga in 1999, and taught her first yoga class in 2012. She received her Bachelor’s of Science, in Kinesiology from Arizona State University and her Yoga Teacher certification with Shambhavananda Yoga Konalani Ashram, on the Big Island of Hawaii. Karalea teaches a gentle and thoughtful Healing Hatha Yoga. She has found deep healing through the practices of yoga, meditation, art and nature. She has a strong desire to help others explore, connect and ultimately find peace and healing through these practices. Find out more at her website
