Healing Hatha Yoga with Karalea Richards:

  • Tuesdays from 9-10am

In this class, yoga asana postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. The slower pace allows focus on breathing techniques and movement control. Healing Hatha Yoga is a beautiful and intentional moving meditation. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Complete relaxation and mind/body balance are the destination, as we open to the healing nature of Hatha Yoga. Class recommended for all levels; beginners very welcome!

  • Thursdays from 9-10am
  • Yoga costs $10; please register in advance

Please bring your own yoga mat, blanket, and/or meditation cushion. Folding chairs are available.

Great for beginners and experienced practitioners, each week, you’ll be expertly guided into a soothing practice including mindful breath awareness, appreciating your body meditation, walking practice, compassion and gratitude meditations with popular mindfulness teacher, Sarah McLean. On Thursday mornings before your meditation session, practice an hour of gentle yoga with experienced local instructor, Vianna Mabanag.

Our Creativity, Wellness and Self Reflection program will assist you in the following:

Meet Your Instructors

Sarah McLean

Sarah McLean is a contemporary meditation and mindfulness teacher who has been teaching people to meditate for over 25 years. She served as the program director for Deepak Chopra’s mind/body center and is a best-selling Hay House author who is dedicated to creating more peace on this planet. Sarah is also the director of the Meditation Teacher Academy training teachers worldwide, and the owner of MMI Mindful Training Co. which specializes in bringing mindfulness into organizations to create more resilience, emotional intelligence, and productivity. Vianna Mabanag

Vianna Mabanag is a writer and yoga teacher based in Goleta, California. She began her yoga journey during her college days at UCSB, and has since then received Level 1 and Level 2 training from Corepower Yoga. Vianna is certified in Yoga Sculpt, a strength-based approach to yoga that combines breath flow with weight training. A natural extrovert, Vianna’s goal is to connect students to themselves and to each other through movement and creativity. In her free time, she likes to freedive off of the Santa Barbara coastline, travel the world and try new things. 

Karalea Richards

Karalea Richards is a Certified Yoga Teacher and the owner/founder of 3SunYoga, a local Santa Barbara Yoga Retreat Company. Karalea started practicing yoga in 1999, and taught her first yoga class in 2012. She received her Bachelor’s of Science, in Kinesiology from Arizona State University and her Yoga Teacher certification with Shambhavananda Yoga Konalani Ashram, on the Big Island of Hawaii. Karalea teaches a gentle and thoughtful Healing Hatha Yoga. She has found deep healing through the practices of yoga, meditation, art and nature.
